  • I’m thrilled that you’re interested in booking a session with me! To get the ball rolling, simply fill out my contact form and you’ll receive a reply within 24-48 hours.

  • Great question! I know outfits can feel like the most stressful part, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are my best tips:

✨ Start with you. Choose something you feel your absolute best in, then build everyone else’s outfits around that.
✨ Coordinate, don’t match. Pick complimentary colors rather than identical outfits. One person can wear a pattern (like a floral or plaid) while the rest pull colors from that pattern.
✨ Stick to neutrals and soft tones. Tans, creams, browns, sage greens, and soft-to-mid blues always photograph beautifully.
✨ Avoid distractions. Skip neon colors, large logos, and busy patterns that can pull attention away from your faces.
✨ Plan ahead. Give yourself extra time to shop, order online, and try things on. You don’t want outfit stress the night before your session.
✨ Use what you already love. Sometimes your favorite blouse, dress, or pair of jeans makes the perfect starting point.
✨ Keep it comfortable. Confidence shines brightest when you feel good in what you’re wearing, even if that’s a favorite tank top and crocs!

At the end of the day, the best outfit is the one that feels most you. When you’re comfortable and confident, your photos will reflect that.

  • Oh friend, you’re in good company - most people feel that way at first! My job isn’t just to take pretty pictures, it’s to help you feel at ease, laugh a little, and forget the camera is even there. I’ll guide you through natural poses and prompts so you never feel stiff or awkward, and we’ll take breaks whenever needed. By the end, you’ll be surprised at how much fun you had, and how much your photos look like you.

  • I aim for less than 30 days for most sessions! Many, in fact, are done within 2 weeks. If you have a time sensitive deadline, please communicate that with me.

  • I always recommend getting on my calendar as soon as you know you’d like to work with me! Family sessions sneak up faster than we realize, and October tends to be the busiest month of the year. To avoid that last-minute scramble, I suggest reaching out at least 60 days before a fall session to secure your spot. Weekends go first, and dates are officially reserved once a 50% deposit is made.

For maternity sessions, the sweet spot is usually 30–36 weeks. Every belly is beautifully different, but this timeframe ensures your bump is showing without cutting it too close to baby’s arrival.

For newborn sessions, I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant. That way, you’re already on my radar and we can plan for those dreamy photos between 5–12 days old. Waiting until after baby is born can make scheduling tricky, and I’d never want you to stress during those precious early days.

For senior sessions, I recommend scheduling the summer before or early in the school year. That gives you plenty of time to enjoy the process and meet yearbook deadlines. Fall is also a gorgeous time if you love cozy layers and colorful leaves (but those spots fill up quickly!), and spring is perfect for fresh blooms or photos closer to graduation. Booking early gives us time to plan a session that feels true to you and your personality.

  • Yes, I offer both!

If you choose a studio newborn session, we’ll do a mix of lifestyle and posed images. That means cozy, natural moments with your baby in your arms, along with classic posed shots using swaddles, props, and backdrops.

If you prefer an in-home newborn session, the focus is more lifestyle-based - documenting your family in your own space, capturing those little everyday moments, and highlighting special details like the nursery you’ve prepared with love.

Both options are beautiful, it just depends on the style and setting that feels most like you.

  • Maternity sessions - 30 minutes

    Fresh 48 sessions - 60 minutes

    Newborn sessions - 2 hours

    Family sessions - 45 minutes

    Dance sessions - 30, 60, or 90 minutes

    Senior sessions - 30, 60, or 90 minutes

  • As a parent of three myself, I totally understand this worry! The good news is, it’s my job to take the pressure off. I approach every session with patience, playfulness, and a bag of tricks to keep things fun and lighthearted. Kids don’t need to sit perfectly still or smile on command for us to capture beautiful, authentic photos. In fact, some of the best images happen in the in-between moments … giggles, cuddles, curiosity, even a little sass. And don’t worry, I’ve got ways to help the grown-ups relax too!

  • After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery delivered straight to your email. From there, you can:

✨ Download both web-size images (perfect for sharing on social media) and high-resolution images (ideal for printing).
✨ Enjoy a complimentary slideshow of your images set to music, perfect for reliving your session in a storytelling way.
✨ Access your print rights, giving you the flexibility to print wherever you’d like.
✨ Or, for the easiest option, order beautiful professional-quality prints directly through your gallery.

  • Showcasing client photos is one of the main ways I share my work so future clients can see my style and editing before booking. That said, your comfort and privacy always come first. I’ll always ask for your permission before sharing anything, and nothing will ever be posted without your explicit consent. When clients do allow me to share, I’m truly honored to showcase their beautiful moments.

  • I absolutely love extended family sessions! These are such a beautiful way to capture multiple generations together, but they’re a bit different than a standard family session. A regular family session is designed for parents and their children, while additional relatives (like grandparents, siblings with their families, or cousins) fall under my extended family session package. This ensures we have the right amount of time and space to photograph all those special connections.

As for pets, I’m always open to including your furry family members! Every pet is unique, so let’s chat beforehand to see if they’d be a good fit for the session and how we can make it work smoothly.

  • My studio is located in Bloomington, IL, and most of my on-location sessions take place within about 20 minutes of town. If you have your heart set on a location outside that range, I’d love to make it work! A travel fee will apply, but I’m always open to going where your story takes us.
